Monday morning and getting ready for work.  Lo Lo was feeding you and I was in the kitchen making coffee... all of a sudden your little voice said the words every mother waits for "mama."  You haven't said it again but it's a moment in time I will never ever forget.  I guess saying "mama" to you since the day you were born paid off... don't worry dada, I'm sure your next :)

8 months & 24lbs of PURE JOY!

MAMA & DADA: can't get enough of your adorableness... you are edible!

8 months and changing by the second!  You are so interested in everything, every noise, every object, every face.  You will daintily play with the teeny little circles on my necklace, the little lacoste alligator on dada's shirt, I'm pretty sure it's a milestone that you touch and grab with your fingers and use them so well.  Speaking of firsts... We have introduced more solids to you this month... banana, avocado, watermelon, yogurt melts and puffs.  I need to be careful though because you would MUCH rather eat a puff or yogurt melt over your food any day and are already acting like you are over baby food.  You are also great at holding your sippy cup and you love water.  If anyone is drinking a water bottle you go nuts so we leave a little for you to finish it off and you know just how to do it.  Even though you are so good at grabbing everything you still won't feed yourself, instead you prefer to feed the 3 begging dogs underneath you.  You swish everything around on your highchair and watch the dogs eat it all up.  You will sit there with your mouth open for me feed you instead of feed yourself, your funny.  If you like something you will say "mmmmm" or "mum." Sometimes I think you say hi but it's unknown if that's what your really saying so we'll just go with it.  You wave at anything and are still so shy when it comes to strangers.  You laugh uncontrollably if someone plays with you. You like to dance to music by rocking back and forth.  We go to gymboree every week so you can play with all of your friends and hopefully you will be crawling soon with the rest of the group.  You are up on all fours but then will go right back down to your belly and flap like a fish so frustrated and ready to go... soon doodle soon.  Yes, we still call you doodle and I keep trying to remind myself to actually call you by your actual name but doodle is just so natural right now.  You are obsessed with your dada, you will roll over onto his chest and explore his entire face.  We are trying to teach you gentle because you unintentionally will whap us.  You hate to be put down or left alone, you will scream and cry and the second we are back in your sight you are all smiles and giggles.  You hate getting your diaper changed and always want to be sitting up, not laying down.  You grab hair.  You push up with your elbows to sit up and most of the time are successful.  You are a still such a chill baby though and rarely fuss and cry.   You have no teeth and your hair is really coming in at the top and back.  You are adorable, You are perfect, You are the most amazing thing to ever happen to us!  Keep on growing, loving and learning every little thing you can doddle bug.  We love you so much!
