Rest

We are in the home stretch and since I'm using this blog to not only keep family and friends up to date on Linogon life but also as a sudo pregnancy journal I thought it was only fitting to document the last couple weeks.

35 weeks and baby Hagen started giving me a run for my money, frankly I think he just wants to come out and play.
My feet had been swelling for about a month but not until a couple weeks ago did my blood pressure increase with it. After a brief bout in the hospital on a Friday afternoon they sent me home to rest and come back in Monday morning. Obviously after a weekend of doing nothing the swelling went significantly down but unfortunately everything else was still high (protein & BP)... not good.

The following Monday the Dr.'s decided to admit me into high risk unit at the hospital for a 24 hour test which came back the next evening as preeclampsia. To my disbelief they told me that I would now be spending the remainder of my pregnancy in the high risk unit, I couldn't believe it and totally got my ugly cry face on. After 2 nights in the hospital my blood work and bp kept coming back normal so they decided to give the 24 hour protein test another shot and unfortunately the results came back exactly the same. Because all my other vitals were fine they released me on strict bed rest and Dr. visits every other day until they decide to deliver the baby hopefully around 37 weeks.

I am totally overwhelmed by all of the love and support from friends and family. Phone calls, flowers, texts, emails, meals... I can't even begin to express how grateful I am for everything. My sweet husband has been beyond amazing and truly I couldn't get through this without him.
I'm not a good sit still and nap kind of person but I think this is just God's way of giving me a little rest before our sweet baby boy arrives so as hard as it is I am trying my hardest to take full advantage of this down time.
